چکیده

Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) represents a valuable source of biologically active compounds such as carotenoids and polyphenols. High amounts these substances are found in its fruits, bark, leaves. However, their bioavailability is limited must be increased order to benefit from the properties they exert. Therefore, purpose this study was increase stability sea fruit’s bioactives. The buckthorn’s bioactive were extracted with solvent combination between glacial acetic acid, acetone, water on one side only other side. Afterward, phytochemicals extracts encapsulated using coacervation technique, followed by freeze-drying obtain stable powders. powders characterized terms antioxidant activity, total carotenoids, ?-carotene, lycopene, polyphenol, flavonoid content, color, structure, morphology. phytochemical activity assessed during 270 days storage at 4 °C. Moreover, measured vitro simulated digestibility. Our findings provide insights promote polyphenols ingredients multiple purposes.

Effect of pH on Garlic Oil Encapsulation by Complex Coacervation

Coacervation is known to be true microencapsulation because the core material is completely surrounded by a continuous coating of wall material. Coacervation involves interaction between one or many hydrocolloids, particularly between oppositely charged protein and polysaccharide in the same reaction media [1]. The interaction relies on the charges carried by the biopolymers, pH of the coacerva...

Encapsulation of Peppermint Oil with Arabic Gum-gelatin by Complex Coacervation Method

The gelatin/gum Arabic microcapsules encapsulating peppermint oil were prepared by complex coacervation using tannic acid as hardening agent. The effects of various parameters, including concentration of wall material, core material, tannic acid and tween80 were investigated on particle size and encapsulation efficiency. For statistical evaluation of the parameters, Taguchi method has been used...

Sea buckthorn seed oil and pulp oil differ considerably in fatty acid composition (Table I). While linoleic (18:2n-6) and α-linolenic (18:3n-3) acids are the major fatty acids in the seed oil, the h...
